Poonch, July 20: In a major success for National Conference, a number of noted political leaders including a Former Naib Sarpanch joined National Conference during a party meeting convened in Poonch.
Meeting was chaired by Youth NC Provincial President, Ajaz Jan along with other party leaders. During this meeting, Former Naib Sarpanch Haji Jahangir Hussain Mir, who was a noted leader of PDP, joined NC along with scores of his workers.
In his statement after joining party, Haji Jahangir Hussain Mir termed anti-poor people policies of People's Democratic Party as a reason for his to skip party and to join NC. He even said that majority of promises made by both BJP-PDP before polls have fallen flat.
Later in his address, Youth NC Provincial President Ajaz Jan said that majority of the works started by Omar Abdullah led Government on the demands of people have been shelved by previous government only for their pitty political gains. He also said that increased number of political workers joining NC is a clear sign of NCs wave in political fields of state.
Prominent those who spoke were Sayed Khurshid Hussain Shah, Mashooq Khan, Haji sadiq more, Haji Mohd Rashid, Mohd Shafi Mire, chairman Rafiq, sayed Khalid Kirmani block president youth, Mohd Rashid, zaibudine, Mohd Aziz Ahmed block president youth, Bashir Naik, Raju Thakur.
