First batch of sixty four hajj pilgrims leaves from Udhampur | | | Early Times Report
Udhampur, July 20 : Today the first batch of sixty four including twenty five Hajj Pilgrims left for holy journey in two JKSRTC Buses from Gujjar Hostel Udhampur to Srinagar from where they will take international flight to Saudi Arabia. Large no. of people gathered at near Gujjar Hostel area of district udhampur to see off the Pilgrims .First batch of Hajj Pilgrims was flagged off by Deputy Commissioner udhampur Ravinder Kumar. Hajj Pilgrims said that They would Pray to almighty for peace and brotherhood should be maintain in our Jammu and Kashmir .They also added that we also Pray for Peace return Back to Kashmir . They also said that they are satisfied with the arrangements and facilities provide by the Govt for Hajj Pilgrims. Additional Deputy Commissioner, Krishan Lal , District Information Officer, Sajad Bashir Somberia Dy SP Dar, Himant Singh and other officers of different departments besides large number of people were present to see off the pilgrims from Udhampur. While interacting with the pilgrims, at Udhampur the DDC congratulated the pilgrims for getting the opportunity to perform holy Hajj. He also wished them safe and secure pilgrimage and appealed them to pray for peace and prosperity of the state. |
