| 'Jiyo Aur Jeene Do' organises of cleanliness drive | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, Apr 13: The members of NGO 'Jiyo Aur Jeene Do ' organized a cleanliness drive at Devak river on the auspicious ocassion of Ramnavami today.
Speaking on the ocassion , the President of NGO Tariq Shah said , " Today we greet everyone on the auspicious ocassion of Ramnavmi. There are many religious rituals associated with river devak like on Ramnavmi saplings are immersed in river water that are grown during Navratras. We appeal all not to bring polyethene packets along with saplings. These polyethene packets are a poison for sacred river Devak and even destroy animal life that survives within it. It ruins the sanctity of pious water of river Devak.
He further stated "We carried the cleanliness drive here today and also awared people not to use such A poisonous material in future. Although government has put a ban on its usage but still it can be seen everywhere. We appeal all with folded hands to maintain cleanliness and sactity of sacred river Devak". Along with Members Sanjay, Sanjeet, Sahil, Ritupriya, Poornima and many others were present. |
