DC Reasi seeks report from ARTO on payment to agent | ET Impact | | Early Times Report
Reasi, Apr 13: Taking cognizance of the news item titled "Reasi admin overlooks payment procedures to hired vehicles" published in Early Times in its April 12, 2019 edition, the Deputy Commissioner has sought report from ARTO Reasi on the issue. Although ARTO Reasi maintained that he had released total amount to the taxi agent which was fixed as per agreement and said that they made payment to the agent after seeing the document which was issued from Labour Commissioner office claiming to be a registered Taxi Union. ARTO further informed that it was very difficult to hire vehicles directly from the owner so they gave the job of hiring of vehicles to an agent at a payment of Rs 1360 per vehicle per day. The locals said that there are two taxi stands in Katra but the claim of this so called union leader stands nowhere as per rules prior information has to be given to other taxi stand unions. There is no existence of the any taxi union in the name of 'Maxi Cab Driver Union Katra'. |
