45 years on, Mandi-Phagla CRF road awaits completion | Of 55 kms only 7 kilometers are complete | | Rajesh Tandon
Early Times Report
POONCH, Apr 13: All the slogans for good governance of union government have been proved as castles in the air. An example of failure of government is Mandi-Phagla CRF road which is still awaiting completion. The construction work on about 55 kilometers was started in 70s. Locals informed that only seven kilometers of the total 55 kilometers road is used for transport whereas government has invested billions since 1972. Hefty amount has gone down the drain due to carelessness of central government and Department of Public Works (R&B). Locals of Surankote, Fazlabad, Hari Buddha and surrounding areas have appealed to governor Satya Pal Malik to take notice of the matter and provide road facilities to about 50,000 common masses of the areas. |
