Jammu, Aug 2: Govt. Post Graduate College today organized an interactive session with the newly admitted students of various semesters of Undergraduate and Post Graduate Courses in the multipurpose hall of the college in presence of all the faculty members of the college. During the session Principal of The College Dr. Shakeel Ahmed Rania extensively deliberated on variegated issues to create a sense of responsibility, discipline, workmanship and cleanliness of the self and the surrounding among the students. In his address, Dr. Raina introduced to the students various programs and activities being organized in the college. He comprehensively deliberated about programs like NCC, NSS, 24 x 7 Library Facility, Internet and Sporting facilities being provided to the students of the college and asked the students to make optimum utilization of the same. He further went on to ask the students to keep their morals high, aim at higher goals and leave no stone unturned to achieve big in their lives. He reminded the students that mobile phones were banned in the campus. However he encouraged a judicious use of technology to make teaching learning process more effective and meaningful. He also announced tentative calendar of academic and co-academic events to be organized in the coming days including the student elections. Dr. Mohd Saleem Wani coordinated the entire event and Prof. M. R. Sharma presented the vote of thanks. |
