If I win will work 24x7 to resolve basic issues: Munish to people | Day 70: Mass Contact Programme Continues | | Early Times Report Jammu, Aug 2: Editor Early Times, Munish Gupta, on Friday said that his decision to contest the forthcoming assembly polls as an independent candidate from Gandhi Nagar constituency has unnerved many politicians. Carrying forward his mass contact programme in different areas for the 70th consecutive day today, Munish said, "Since the day I have decided to contest the upcoming elections I have been reaching out to people and listening to their grievances. During all these days I have made an honest attempt to highlight the problems faced by the common man." He said, "If people give me a chance to serve them, I assure them that I will work 24x7 to ensure that their problems are solved and they don't have to wait for years together for small things, which politicians project as their big achievements." Munish said, "It's unfortunate that our leaders during the past seventy years couldn't do much for the people. They have even failed to provide basic amenities to the common man." He said, "During my ongoing mass contact programme I have come to know that most of the areas in Jammu are even without the basic elements which are required to live a normal life. Stinking garbage dumps, no proper water and electricity supply, dilapidated roads and choked drains are an integral part of most Jammu areas. Repeated pleas of people to provide them with basic amenities have been ignored by one and all during all these years." Munish said that if he wins the forthcoming elections he won't turn his back towards the people and will try his best to work for them. |
