Chenab valley tense after security advisory | | | Asif Iqbal Naik

Jammu, Aug 2: The security alert asking the tourists and Amarnath pilgrims to cut short their trip to Kashmir created panic in Chenab valley viz Doda, Kishtwar and Ramban districts of Jammu province. As per the details available with "Early Times", there was lot confusion among the people in all the three districts of Chenab valley as people were seen busy dumping the ration and other essential commodities fearing that something is going to happen at government level. The people told the "Early Times" that they were in dilemma that what is happening in the state added that the Kashmir situation makes direct impact on the situation in Chenab valley as well as in Pir Panchal area comprises of Rajouri and Poonch District. The people called upon the government and the concerned administration to keep check on anti-peace elements. Meanwhile extra security forces were rushed to Kishtwar district. The passengers traveling on Kishtwar-Jammu National Highway told the "Early Times" that they have seen large number of buses boarded with security forces including J&K policemen heading towards Kishtwar and Doda districts for deployment in case law and order situation arises in the area. Many people from Chenab valley who are presently in Kashmir valley are being asked by their family members to return home. |
