JAMMU, Aug 2: J&KITCO Ltd, a joint venture company of the central and state government financial and industrial infrastructure enterprises, held its 117th Board meeting at Jammu Club under the chairmanship of Mohammad Shafi Pandit. The board noted with satisfaction the phenomenal progress made, in recent years, by this flagship company of the State, in the industrial-financial sector, in becoming fully compliant on the legal front, after having gone into disarray, because of lack of proper management, and also in generating business opportunities for the company. Agreeing with the vision of the Chairman, supported by the present management under the dynamic leadership of the Whole Time Director of the company, the board decided that J&KITCO will take all possible steps to revive lost status of the company in being a major player for promoting entrepreneurship, with the aim of creating gainful employment opportunities for the youth of the State. In this context, the board decided to start in-house Entrepreneurship Development Programmes, Soft Skill, Motivational and Entrepreneur friendly programmes for the benefit of the target group, including young and unemployed youth as well as the new entrepreneurs having set up start-up businesses. The meeting was attended by Mohd. Shafi Pandit (Chairman), Rajeev Mehra (WTD), Rakesh Mehra (Director), K Sanjeev Dogra (COO) and nominees of the sponsoring agencies, including J&K SIDCO, J&K SICOP and J&K SFC. |
