Border battalion aspirants start hunger strike; vow to teach BJP a lesson | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Feb 28: Border battalion aspirants today carried out a hunger strike and launched a scathing attack on the Jammu & Kashmir administration alleging that the people at helm want to snatch the right to protest from them even though they are facing numerous problems. Scores of youth who have applied for the posts in border battalion today assembled here and started the hunger strike alleging that the administration is delaying the entire recruitment process. They said that they have decided to go on hunger strike since the previous rounds of protests led to beating up at the hands of police personnel. The agitated youth said that Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) would be taught a lesson in the next elections since the party has deceived the youth in the name of employment. They said it was due to the votes of the people especially youth that BJP came into power adding that Jammu people would teach them a lesson in the next assembly elections. The protesters said that the Jammu people should understand the gravity of the situation and come in support of the youth who are vying for the posts in the border battalion. They said that they will not sit back unless and until the administration does not speed up the process of recruitment for the border battalion posts. |
