People’s voice is snubbed by ‘Babushahi’ in J&K: Farooq | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Feb 28: Former Chief Minister and president of National Conference Dr. Farooq Abdullah on Monday said that ‘Babushahi’ is not listening to the day-to-day problems of the common people. “Residents of Jammu and Kashmir are facing numerous problems but there is no one to listen to their grievances because Afsarsahi has completely taken control of governance”, Dr. Abdullah said while interacting with reporters at Srinagar after attending a party meeting. The former Chief Minister said that bureaucrats are ruling J&K without any representation from the people. “Peoples’ concerns would be addressed only after assembly elections in J&K”, he observed. Regretting job and land rights of the people of J&K have been snatched after the abrogation of Article 370 and 35-A, he alleged that doors have been opened for outsiders to get jobs. “Before August 5, 2019, only locals of J&K were eligible for getting government jobs but now outsiders can also apply for government jobs”, he said. He said that the abrogation of article 370 was an assault on the autonomy of Jammu and Kashmir because before August 5, 2019, J&K had job and land rights. |
