‘Woman dies of electric shock; neither factory owner, nor PDD come forward to help her NoKs | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Feb 28: Family members of a 30-year old woman, Santosh Devi, who died after getting an electric shock in a factory she was working in, are running from pillar to post to seek some kind of monetary relief for her heirs. Family members of the deceased lady told a local news channel that no one came forward to help them neither the Power Department nor the factory owner where Santosh Devi died. “ It seems there is no humanity left. She has left behind a 3-year old son and her husband, who too is a daily wager. She died in December last year and from that day her husband has been taking care of his son. He needs some monetary relief so that he can bring up his son in absence of his wife. He is unable to go to work as there is no one who can take care of his son,” they added. They said that they had approached Vijaypur Police Station to lodge a complaint but no heed was paid towards their plea and wasn’t lodged. “The Power Department officials didn’t even look towards us. They just washed their hands of the entire matter,” they added. |
