4 drug peddlers held | | | Early Times Report
Srinagar, Apr 2: Jammu and Kashmir Police on Sunday claimed to have arrested four drug peddlers and recovered contraband substance from their possession in central Kashmir Badgam district. Police said during Checking at Choon Crossing, a police party from Police Station Budgam intercepted a vehicle with two persons on board. During the search 5.36 gm of Heroin like substance was recovered from their possession. They have been arrested on spot and identified as Mehraj-Ud-Din Mir, a resident of Choon Budgam and Shahbaaz Nisar of Ichgam Budgam. They said on the disclosure of arrested persons, two more accused identified as Javeed Ahmad Lone of Eidgah Mohalla Humhama and Raqeeb Ahmad Dara resident of Gonikhan Srinagar at present Gogoo Humhama were arrested. Police also recovered 7.72 Grams of Heroin like substance and cash of Rs 6,400 from their possession. A case under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Budgam and investigation taken up, they added. |
