Seven-Day Special Winter NSS Camp Concludes at GDC Ghagwal

Jammu, Mar 20: The Seven-Day Special Winter NSS Camp at Government Degree College Ghagwal concluded successfully with a vibrant valedictory function, held under the esteemed guidance of Madam Principal, Dr. Sujata Slathia.
The program was spearheaded by NSS Program Officer, Dr. Vani Awasthi, and graced by Dr. Mala Bhasin as the Special Chief Guest.
The closing ceremony witnessed the presence of distinguished guests, including Prof. Ramzan Ali, Prof. Vijay Kumar, other faculty members, and non-teaching staff, along with an enthusiastic participation of NSS volunteers.
The event commenced with seeking the blessings of Goddess Saraswati and then the NSS Song.
Dr. Sujata Slathia, Principal of the College presented a formal welcome to the chief guest. After the welcome address, a PowerPoint presentation summarizing the key activities cond ucted over the six days of the camp was screened.
The cultural segment showcased the talent of NSS volunteers through Dogri and Punjabi dance performances, a poetry recital on NSS and healthy relationships, and a soulful singing session.
The students also added a touch of glamour to the event with an energetic ramp walk.
In her address, Dr. Mala Bhasin commended the efforts of the NSS unit in fostering social responsibility, leadership, and cultural awareness among students.
Dr. Sujata Slathia appreciated the dedication of the NSS volunteers and faculty members in making the camp a success.
The event concluded with a formal vote of thanks presented by Dr. Bavita Kumari, expressing gratitude to all participants, faculty, and students for their contributions to the camp’s success.
The Seven-Day Special Winter NSS Camp at GDC Ghagwal not only provided a platform for students to engage in community service but also nurtured their talents and teamwork, reinforcing the true spirit of “Not Me, But You.”
