Early Times Report JAMMU, Mar 22: The Department of Environmental Sciences at GDC Mahanpur, in collaboration with the Eco Club, celebrated World Water Day on March 22, 2025, with the theme "Glacier Preservation." The event was organized by Dr. Nishu (HOD, EVS) and Dr. Sapna Devi (Convener, Eco Club) under the guidance of Dr. Sangeeta Sudan, Principal. Students and staff participated in cleaning and maintaining the college's water resources, including Sintex and cement tanks. Dr. Nishu delivered an insightful lecture on glacier preservation, emphasizing the impact of global warming and climate change on glaciers and their role as essential freshwater sources. The event raised awareness about water conservation and the urgency of protecting natural water reservoirs. 50 students participated, along with faculty members Dr. Mohinder Nath Sharma, Ms. Nisha Kumari, Dr. Hilal Ahmed Bhat, Dr. Yog Raj Sharma, Dr. Babli, Dr. Namita Trogia, Dr. Suhail Dar, Sh.
