His wife purchased gold worth crores after demonetization Early Times Report Jammu, Nov 25: The Income Tax department asking the jewelers in Jammu city to submit their sale records, stocks and the footage of Close Circuit Television (CCTV) has reportedly sent a BJP minister into tizzy as it's believed that his wife purchased gold worth crores from jewelers after the demonetization move. Sources told Early Times the Minister is in tight spot and is looking worried as IT people would identify his wife in the CCTV footage. They said that decision to scan the CCTV footage was taken after the reports about adjustment of huge demonetized currency in the purchase of gold bars and ornaments came to fore. Nearly 300 jewelers have come under the scanner of Income Tax Department and they have been issued notices to promptly submit the record of their sales and stock as well as footage of Close Circuit Television (CCTV) cameras installed at their respective business premises.
