4 years on, Veterinary doctor fails to turn up at Barnara village 1/30/2014 9:55:42 PM Ajay Sharma Rajouri, Jan 30: It has been more than 4 years since the establishment of Veterinary Hospital at village Barnara of district Rajouri but the doctor appointed for the hospital has not turned up till date. Moreover the hospital building is being used by outsiders as a shelter. Sources told Early Times that the construction work of the veterinary hospital at Panchayat Nalla Makol of tehsil Sunderbani started in 2008 and completed in 2010 with the cost of Rs 9 lakh but it has been more than 4 years till the hospital is awaiting the doctor. Sources further informed that State Veterinary Department had posted a doctor for the Veterinary Hospital at village Barnara but instead of discharging his duty in the village, he is staying somewhere outside the village and running a clinic. When contacted the Block Veterinary Officer Sundarbani Dr Ashok Kapahi in this regard, he feigned ignorance of the matter but later he assured that appropriate action will be taken against the erring doctor. He further said that hospital building will be vacated soon if found used by outsiders.
