SRINAGAR, Jan 30: The row over LoC trade is turning bitter as Pakistan has accused India of hatching conspiracy to end the LoC trade. Talking to a TV Channel Pakistan Foreign Minister of Pakistan administered Kashmir, Chowdary Latief has accused India of hatching a conspiracy to end up trade ties between the two parts of Kahsmir and halt the peace bus service across the LOC.
However, as per details received, Chowdry Latief has not mentioned the reason of suspending trade ties between the two countries which started from seizure of heroin packets from a truck coming from Pakistan. The Minister while talking to the News Channel has alleged that it was India that hatched a conspiracy to roll back trade ties across LOC between India and Pakistan and has also claimed that Pakistan is not against the LOC trade ties, but as per reports received, Chowdry Latief has added that in fact the peace-bus service and LOC trade ties between the two countries were paving ways for the resolution core issue of Kashmir.
The reports reveal that Chowdry Latief has also said that Pakistan had taken up the issue with India already few days back and consultations are going between the concerned officials of the two countries at higher level and within a day or two all the hurdles erected in between trade ties and peace bus service will be solved soon and later as per the TV report, the said Minister has also met the detained truck drivers by Pakistan.
As reported from the day first, the trade system between India and Pakistan along the LOC which was stopped on Jan 17,2014 when Jammu and Kashmir Police detained a truck driver coming from Muzaffarabad and later according to the polices sources as per information recovered 114 packets of heroin concealed in a cargo of almonds in the truck. The things turned bitter between the two countries after in response to the seizure of a truck carrying heroin worth crores by India, Pakistan detained 28 vehicles of different areas of Jammu and Kashmir and is still refusing to set them free until the seized truck carrying heroin is not set free from Indian side. Authorities from Indian side while refusing to compromise on the issue took the matter seriously and Ministry of External Affairs India summoned the acting High Commissioner of Pakistan, Mansoor Ahmad and lodge a protest against Pakistan for suspending trade ties, peace bus services and detaining 28 truck drivers from Jammu and Kashmir who had crossed LOC right before the incident took place.
Pertinently after suspending Srinagar-Muzaffarabad trade ties and peace bus service along Srinagar-Muzaffarabad, Pakistan also warned to suspend Poonch-Rawalakote bus services and despite formal appeals by traders to Pakistan who have stocked commodities worth crores on both sides of LOC ,besides protests and threat warnings by the families of detained truck drivers, Pakistan is not willing to release detained truck drivers, resume the trade ties and peace bus service as well.
