All is not well in party: BJP ignores Lal Singh, Satish Sharma during Kathua visit to assess flood losses | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Sept 30: A delegation of BJP leaders conducted extensive tour of the flood affected areas of Kathua district but two-time Lok Sabha member from this region, Choudhary Lal Singh, who has recently joined BJP was conspicuously missing from the tour. Kathua district is home town of Choudhary Lal Singh, who was inducted in the BJP with much fanfare in the presence of BJP national president Amit Shah and other senior leaders. Interestingly Choudhary Lal Singh has strong base in Kathua district but BJP leadership is ignoring him in his own district. Instead of giving him chance at Kathua district, Choudhary Lal Singh has been deputed to Kashmir Valley along with other leaders of the BJP to utilize his energy. Credible sources in the BJP said that a group within the BJP is strongly opposing interference of Choudhary Lal Singh in the day today activities of party in Kathua district so party leadership has decided to utilize his services in other areas. Instead of allowing Choudhary Lal Singh to work in his home district, he along with other leaders was deputed to Kashmir this morning. On Monday, BJP Election Campaign Committee Chairman Dr. Nirmal Singh, National Executive Member Shamsher Singh State General Secretary Rajeev Jasrotia MLAs- Durga Das and Jagdish Sapolia, District President Ved Mankotia visited Kalri, Mahanpur, Sulari in Basohli and Parnala, Pallan, Phinter, Mandli in Billawar to assess the ground realities. Neither Lal Singh nor BJP leader from Billawar Satish Sharma were present in the delegation with visited Billawar. Satish Sharma is claimant of BJP ticket from Billawar assembly segment but he was not involved in the exercise to assess the flood situation. |
