Police launches Public Outreach Programme | | | Early Times Report Rajouri , Mar 3 : J&K Police have launched several people friendly projects under its ensuing 'Public Outreach Programme' for the children of economically week families. Under this programme and to encourage the education among the poor and needy students of remote areas of Kalakot and its adjoin tehsils , Rakesh Kumar, Additional SP Nowshera today organized a programme in a middle school at Badog. Police spokesman said that the study materials including Pen, Pencils, Copies, Bags and refreshment was distributed among the poor and needy students. Besides parent of the students the function was also attended by Chaman Gorkha, SHO Kalakot and hundreds of school children, Sarpanches/Panches, members of Village Education Committee (VEC) and teaching staff of School. Speaking on the occasion Rajesh kumar, ASP, emphasized on the need of providing education to the children who alone can ensure development of an area. "It's an endeavor of J&K Police to make society literate and assured that J&K Police will leave no stone upturned to help poor and needy youth to harness their talent in sports and cultural activities by providing a platform to young children" said ASP. The locals of the area including Sarpanches /Panches highly applauded the role of Rajouri Police and requested for organizing such progra-mmes in future. |
