Kashmiri Pandit migrants urge Govt to postpone interviews
3/8/2015 11:19:09 PM

Early Times Report

Jammu, Mar 8: Scores of Kashmiri Pandit migrants who had to appear for various interviews in Kashmir for different posts have demanded that these interviews should be postponed due to the inclement weather conditions.
A delegation of the job aspirants who had to travel to the Valley in coming week while talking to Early Times said: "Many of us have to appear for the interviews at various district headquarters from Monday (March 9) onwards but we are stuck in Jammu as the national highway is closed for vehicular traffic." They said that authorities are well aware about the situation but they have not issued any notification vis-à-vis postponing these interviews. "We are caught in a dilemma and have no idea about how to reach Kashmir," they said. The job aspirants said that if government fails to postpone these interviews it would ruin their careers as they have been waiting for a long time to get a job. "We have faced discrimination since our forced exodus in 1990. Let's hope we don't face the discrimination this time around," they added.
