NPP holds protest against anti-national BJP-PDP alliance | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Mar 8: Reacting to the release of separatist leader Masrat Alam, several Panthers party activists held protest demonstration at Dogra Chowk and burnt effigy of coalition government on Sunday. The protest led by political advisor NPP and spokesman Bansi Lal Sharma and activists demanded immediate dismissal of the BJP-PDP government which has been acting against the National interests and promises and assurances given to the people of J&K especially Jammu Pradesh. Speaking on the occasion, Bansi Lal Sharma appealed to the people from all walks of life, all political parties particularly youth, students, working class, intellectuals to observe two days 'Bandh'. He said that the BJP has meekly surrendered and sold out the interests of the people of Jammu Pradesh to PDP for the lust of power. The unholy BJP-PDP alliance is nothing but a marriage of convenience which has become a security risk and it must go to save the state from further death and distruction, he said and adding that the BJP was playing double standards as it is working as a stooge of PDP on one hand and protesting against the PDP on the other just to exploit and befool the people of Jammu Pradesh. He sought immediate intervention of Governor of J&K to invoke section 92 of the J&K constitution and dismiss the Mufti led government lock, stock and barrel in the interest of peace and harmony of the state. |
