| PAPA questions silence of leaders over shifting Tawi lake site | | |

Jammu, May 20: People's Action & Public Accountability (PAPA) has questioned the silence of Congress and other social organizations over the shifting of site of Tawi artificial lake by former Irrigation Minister Taj Mohi-ud-din.
"Feasible site of the Tawi Lake was in fact finalized between "Har Ki Pouri" of Bahu fort side & Gujjar Nagar graveyard and needed drawings & project reports were completed with encouraging reports of environmental experts in the year 2005 but as usual Taj-Mohi-ud-din had taken the things far granted and very cleverly get the site shifted for his personal interests, while least caring the linking sites of city drains dirty water to the Tawi river, wastage of public money and Jammu's vital interest", PAPA alleged.
They further said that issue was also highlighted by the media but as usual it was just immaterial and ineffective but the question was the suspicious silence of above said Jammu's claimants over the issue who are rolling down the crocodile tears at this juncture in the name of Jammu's interest.
PAPA members appealed media persons to raise above personal interests and apprise masses about real face of their so called leaders. |
