Rajouri, May 20: To put check on traffic norms violations in the Rajouri, the district police besides routine policing today have launched a special drive against traffic norms violators and challaned 150 vehicles u/s MV Act for violating various traffic norms. On the directions of SSP Rajouri, Dr Mohd Haseeb Mughal, the drive was launched with an aim to make people aware about safe driving and to save the precious human lives lost in frequent road mishaps, drive against the use of pressure horns beside prohibited by the Supreme Court guidelines. Rajouri Police started a special drive against the traffic violators and today challaned 150 vehicles under MV Act for violating traffic norms which include removal of pressure horn, triple riding, driving without helmet, over loading, use of music system etc. It is pertinent mention here that Rajouri Police has also conducted various seminars, symposium as well as distributed pamphlets in various colleges/Schools to make aware the general to obey the traffic rules.
