Sunderbani police takes on austerity measures | | | Early Times Report sunderbani, May 20: Fifty vehicles were challaned, while two of them were seized by the Sunderbani police today in a naka drive launched by SHO Sunderbai Chaman Lal Gorkha here today. The naka was supervised by SSP Rajouri Shahid Mughal. On the spot, fifty vehicles were challaned while two vehicles were seized for not complying with the traffic rules,. Talking to this reporter, the SHO Sunderbani said that the vehicles were challaned for overloading and failing to produce relevant papers as per the traffic rules. 150 pressure horns were also seized from the defaulters. The vehicles were challaned for various violations like overloading, drivers without uniform and without documents. Meanwhile 15 persons were also challaned for smoking publically. People of Sunderbani have hailed the austerity measures taken up by the police and hoped that such continuous drive will help in reducing the risk of the people who are overloaded by the vehicles causing accidents and fatal deaths SHO Sunderbani Chaman Lal Gorkha said that such drive now would be the regular phenomenon and the violations by the vehicles will be checked to streamline the system. |
