Home guards hold meet, demand salary | | | Early Times Report Udhampur, June 10: All Jammu and Kashmir Home Guard meeting was held at Udhampur, under the leadership of District President Dharm Singh, to highlight their genuine demands especially for the enhancement of their salary at par other state. Addressing the Dharm Singh, President of the Association, said that the other state has been paying better salaries to the Home Guard, whereas the J&K State Home Guard are being paid only Rs. 545/- per month, i.e. only for 9 working days. She said it is very difficult now-a-days when the prices of all the essential commodities are rising up resulting life miserable for the Home Guards. She also has appealed to all the political leaders, to render their support to these deserving J&K Home Guards.
