A special investigation team (SIT) has been constituted to probe 12 cases police have registered against the youth on the charges indulging in violence, raising pro-Khalistan slogans and attacking police personnel at different places.
The SIT was constituted today by DIG of police (Jammu range). It would work under the supervision of SP (headquarters). Its other members are: Purshotam Sharma (DDP, RPHQ, Jammu), Javed Khawaja (CPO, Sadar Court, Jammu), Rajeshwar Singh (senior CPO), SDPO (East) Rafiq Manhas, Gandhi Nagar police station SHO Paramjit Singh, Satwari police station SHO Manjit Singh, SI Ashok Bajaj, SI Fazal Hussain, Havaldar Satvir Singh, selection grade cop (SGC) Mushtaq Ahmad and SLC Gulzar.
In the SIT order, it has been clearly stated that it is the discretion of the SIT incharge to include more members to it or take the assistance of any other person. |
