Govt, which denied permission to hoist national flag, is hesitating to ban Geelani's anti-national seminar | | | Early Times Report Jammu, June 10: State Government headed by PDP along with "ultra-nationalist" BJP has yet not impose ban on the international level seminar to be organised by Ali Shah Geelani on June 14 at Srinagar. Just three days have been left but the government has not issued any official order to ban this seminar where are sure to spit venom against India because all speakers invited by Geelani are "famous" for their anti-India thinking. The State Government, which had denied permission to a little known organisation namely "Youth for Nation" to hoist national flag, has no reason to allow holding of such anti-India seminar in Kashmir. While denying permission to "Youth for Nation" to hoist national flag on May 16 , the Government had cited law and order problem as a reason for denying the permission. The aim of "Youth for Nation" to hoist National flag at Lal chowk was to give a warning to anti national forces in Kashmir, beside to serve a massage to them that we are united against them. But the same government is in dilemma over banning Geelani's seminar. Geelani is holding a seminar to which several separatist leaders, including those from Sikhs groups, and Christian community representatives have been invited. "Hurriyat Conference has decided to organise a seminar in Srinagar on June 14 in which people from different walks of life will express their views on the topic 'How to Resist the Indian State Fascism'," a spokesman of the separatist amalgam had said on Tuesday. "The personalities who have been invited for the proposed seminar include Akali Dal leader Simranjit Singh Mann, Dal Khalsa leader Kanwarpal Singh, noted human rights activist Gautam Navlakha and representatives of the Christian community," the spokesman said. He said it will be an important seminar in which prominent scholars, intellectuals, writers and "pro-freedom leaders" of Kashmir would also participate.
