VAC felicitates CEO Volleyball Association J&K 6/10/2015 11:45:58 PM Early Times Report Jammu, June 10: Volleyball Association of Chandigarh In a simple and Impressive function felicitated Kuldip Magotra, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Volleyball Association of J&K for his contribution in promotion/popularization of volleyball game in India and abroad at Chandigarh recently. Recalling Magotra's contribution in the field of volleyball game from the year 1985 till date in different capacities as General Secretary Volleyball Association of J&K, Chairman Technical Committee of Volleyball Federation of India, Treasurer of Volleyball Federation of India and Vice-President Volleyball Federation of India. Organizers appreciated the qualities of head and heart of Magotra. He was instrumental in popularizing the game especially among the youth and students since the inception of Volleyball Association of J&K. "The volleyball game has also spread in every nook and corner of the State besides achieving various distinctions at national level events under his tenure," organizers added. During Magotra's tenure not only this a considerable number of State volleyball players have been employed/recruited by J&K Police, para-military and armed forces with efforts of Magotra. Apart from this it is matter of J&K State that Saqlin Tariq from Poonch District has represented 10th Youth Asian Volleyball Championship at Colombo (Sri Lanka) as a captain of Indian team. In addition to this, Sujjad Hussain, Inspector of J&K Police, has been inserted the job of coaching to India volleyball team who also accompanied Indian Volleyball team as a coach at various international events. Magotra also represented as head of delegation of the Indian volleyball team in the international event since last many years. Chief Minister of Haryana, M.L Khattar honoured Magotra amongst other office bearers of Volleyball Association of Northern India at Chandigarh.
