Jammu, June 10: Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages today organized Children Summer Workshop in which a renowned theatre artist, Sumit Sharma delivers a special demonstration cum lecture.
According to press release, during the demonstration, the participating children have been enlightened through various physical skills, movements and exercises through which they experienced how to live and feel various moods and expressions of happiness and sadness in through the medium of theatre. Focusing on the basics of Theatre as performing arts, children have also been taught how to live unreal situations, characters as real ones.
In the meanwhile Dr Arvinder Singh Amn, Additional Secretary, Cultural Academy informed that the children through such demonstrations by the experts will learn the basics of theatre and also experience the importance of threatre in their life.
Emphasizing on the relevance of theatre in life he said that this workshop will help a lot in the overall development of an individual. He further told that more experts in various fields of theatre, dance and music have been invited to demonstrate in this children summer workshop. |
