| Artificial lake on Tawi to be completed within one year: PHE Minister | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, June 15: Minister for PHE, Irrigation and Flood Control Sukhnandan Kumar today said that Artificial Lake on Tawi will be completed within one year.
Addressing Tawi Andolan Activists on its annual day programme at Tawi Arti Ghat Bikram Chowk, Jammu, the minister said to preserve all the rivers and other water bodies in the state is priority of the State government and it will work for it.
In his address BJP State General Secretary (Org) Ashok Kaul, assured the activists of the Tawi Andolan that party shall back all such efforts which are aimed at protecting environment and ecological balance besides developing Tawi on the pattern of River Ganga.
Earlier welcoming both the leaders on the annual day of Tawi Andolan its Convener Chander Mohan Sharma (Adv) giving details of the plight of the river demanded that State Government should constitute Tawi Development board for comprehensive development of Tawi River.
Artists of Bharatiya Sangeet Kala Kendra presented a cultural programme on this occasion. Mohan Lal Dogra relived Director Song and Drama Division of Government of India was especially present on the occasion.
