BJP minister's brother-in-law running transfer industry He first got an Xen transferred to PWD, is now trying for a SP's posting from Udhampur in Jammu 6/16/2015 1:17:40 AM Early Times Report JAMMU, June 15: A senior BJP minister's brother-in-law has nowadays become all powerful in the state administration and is running the transfer industry to mint quick money. He enjoys free lunch and dinner parties in a hotel at Bahu Plaza. Even as the BJP minister is first time MLA, he became a minister only because of his strong connections with the party's national leadership. While he has now attained notoriety for being anti-Jammu and is being assailed in every nook and corner of Jammu region, his brother-in-law is further spoiling his reputation by running a transfer industry in his name. PWD does not fall under this minister but he managed the transfer of an executive engineer (Xen) to the department at the instance of his brother-in-law. Not only this, the latter also managed the transfer of two lower employees by himself approaching the minister later. He has now assured some DSPs and other middle rung officers for their choice postings. An SP, who is posted at Udhampur, too has approached him and, according to sources privy to the development, he has been given the assurance that he would be posted as additional SP in Jammu. This SP was the subject of severe criticism during the Amarnath land row and BJP leaders, including this minister, had protested against him and demanded registration of case against him. Taking a U-turn, the minister was now trying for his posting in Jammu. He has already worked in Jammu as DSP and SP. For being a local, he was attached with the Jammu IGP's office during Lok Sabha elections. He was, however, transferred to Udhampur during the state polls. Since then he was serving there. He has now found out the right person for his transfer back to Jammu.
