Early Times Report

Jammu, June 15: While appreciating the J&K state government's decision of village education committees "Jammu Pvt. Schools & ETT Institutes Association (Progressive)" termed it as a delayed step of its ongoing bull-cart speed reforms in so-called priority field of education.
"No doubt that this important sector was almost derailed by merely dubbing as money minting destination of corrupt by the outgoing coalition regimes but it does not mean that needed corrections will take months together, it added. Of course, corrupt rulers have to develop the favorable grounds but in case of present Education Minister, nothing such is revealed so far and in that case, delay of reforms can't be justified", it further added.
They further said that some meaningful observations in writing were handed over to worthy minister Nayeem Akhtar more than month ago where focus was given on the public/stakeholders debates based education reforms for a result oriented outcome but nothing such is observed so far, Association expressed.
As usual, some bureaucracy designed corruption promoting tactics were observed during this tenure too while least caring the ethics and harassment of private stakeholders, it added. Hue & cry related to since long headless JK School Board is noticed everywhere but nothing is being done as on date which is certainly a blot on the working of state government, association added.
CM Mufti on one hand talked about the needed educational tourism in the state but on the other hand, hotchpotch working related to the state Universities and tortoise speed of school education is multiplying the confusions around, Association alleged. Jammu University has notified the B.Ed. course of two years whereas it is one year course in Kashmir University and similarly, important ETT course of JK school Board is facing vested interests created multiple confusions, is it not the mockery on the part of worthy state education minister who of course has a clean image? Association questioned. An early end of ongoing confusions is quite important in the interest of state, educational tourism, students and the stake holders as well, association urged.
