| Community participation fete organized | | |

Kathua, June 15: In compliance with the directions of government regarding the reconstitution of Village Education Committees (VECs) and holding of Community Participation Fete, a community participation fete was organized here today by all the Government Schools of Kathua District.
The programme was organised under the supervision of Zonal Education Officers concerned and overall guidance of Balbir Singh, Chief Education Officer, Kathua . The function started at 11 am in which members of the Village Education Committee constituted in reference to Govt. Order No. 272-Edu of 2015 dated: 12/06/2015 with full enthusiasm.
The members of the committee were made aware of their role for the overall development of the educational institutions and for the improvement of quality education for the students.
The committee members were also made aware of the schemes implemented in the Education Department like SSA, RMSA, Mid Day Meal and their role for the utilization of funds allotted under these schemes besides monitoring of schemes as well. |
