Swaraj Abhiyan kick starts Jai Kissan Movement at Hiranagar | | | Early Times Report
Hiranagar, Jun15: Swaraj Abhiyan Jammu and Kashmir (SAJK), today kick started its nationwide Jai Kissan Movement from in front of SDM Hiranagar in presence of large number of locals and emine nt citizens. Among prominent present on the occasion included I D Khajuria, Balkar Singh, Kulbhushan Singh, Santosh Khajuria, Inderjeet Singh, BL Kandley and a number of progressive farmers from Kathua. Addressing to gathering, I D Khajuria said Swaraj Abhiyan has been launched with an aim to mitigate the sufferings of farmers and under this scheme mass contact programme were held in every state to reach out to farmers and to listen and understand their problems. Khajuria said Swaraj Abhiyan aims to become a strong voice against the injustice done to farmers by anyone and everyone who has come to power. He said that Swaraj Abhiyan demands that a minimum Income Act for farmers to be passed so that they are not compelled to take suicide as a means to free themselves from the burden of loans. While addressing to gathering, B L Kandley highlighted demands of Jai Kissan Movement that have been formulated across the country and said it would work for demand of withdrawal of the land acquisitions second Amendment Bill 2015, adequate compensation against natural calamity, compensation of human and cattle loss under Chhatra Artiliary Firing range Hiranagar/ Samba, immediate lifting of water from Raavi as share 1650 Cusec under IWT agreement for J&K. Swaraj Abhiyan led by Journalist turned Social worker Yogendra Yadav at National level has publicized a miss-call number 011-46666662 for people willing to be a part of the Jai Kisan Movement across the country including J&K. |
