ISA Coordinator KC Public School visits England | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, June 15 : Sonia Thakur, Coordinator of British Council's International School Award (ISA) programme at KC Public School visited Skipton Girls' High School, North Yorkshire, England. The visit was sponsored and funded by British Council under its Connecting Classrooms programme. James Hoyle, Global Awareness Coordinator at Skipton Girls' High School had already visited KC Public School in May under the same programme. The programme aims at bringing long-term partner schools closer and encourages them to continue to work in collaboration with each other on mutually decided projects from across their curricula. Thakur was given a warm welcome by J Plews, Head Teacher of Skipton and its students and teaching staff. She spent four busy but extremely meaningful days interacting with teachers and students. In addition to finalizing the list of projects to be completed collaboratively in the academic year 2015-16, she also visited a few places of historic significance in Skipton and was also given a tour of Yorkshire Dales known for their sheep breeding industry. |
