Srinagar, June 15 : Prof Mehraj uddin, officiating Vice-Chancellor Central University of Kashmir (CUK), today inaugurated a special interactive session on "Rajbhasha Hindi" at Sonwar Transit campus here. Deputy Director (OL), Gajraj Singh, Registrar, Prof M Afzal Zargar, Controller of Examinations, Dr Nazir Ahmad Gilkar, Hindi Adhikari, Ms Sakeena Akhter were among others present on the occasion. Prof Mehraj uddin and Prof Muhammad Afzal Zargar giving details about the initiatives undertaken in this regard said, "Besides workshops, teaching and learning classes and various other related activities, the University recently conducted an examination for Prabodh course for its employees, in which more than 90 per cent staff participated with great enthusiasm. Deputy Director (OL), Gajraj Singh while speaking on the occasion, hailed the efforts of the University in promoting the Hindi. He underscored the need of using Hindi in all the stationary items and other forms of documents, which is frequently used by the staff. Hindi Adhikari, Ms Sakeena Akhter, during her presentation highlighted the steps taken by Rajbhasha Cell since its inception for implementing the rules and regulation of the Department of Official Language, Ministry of Home Affairs. Concluding the occasion Controller of Examination, Dr Nazir A Gilkar presented the vote of thanks. |
