Jammu, June 15 : Before she bid goodbye to theatrical show-biz in Jammu nearly two decade ago, Kajal Suri had well established her supremacy as the undisputed crowning glory being numerous uno in state’s dramaturgy. Having performed in some of the most challenging theatrical ventures in early late 80s and early 90s when resurrection on theatrical front of Jammu and Kashmir was taking shape and many strong contenders were in the reckoning to clinch top slot as performing artists, Kajal’s niche in providing a meaningful and substantial idiom to the female participation in theatricals stood differently and hence roped her a distinction as a class apart. Having six times best actress awards to her credit in Jammu and Kashmir theatre competition, Kajal owns a distinction apart from her genre performers as well as the new crop in the field of acting.
