CM calls Sports Council meet today 6/16/2015 1:18:42 AM Early Times Report jammu, June 15: Chief Minister, Mufti Mohammad Sayeed in the capacity of president of the autonomous sports body of J&K State Sports Council has invited an emergency AGM tomorrow at Summer Capital. The meeting, to be attended by Sports Minister as vice president and top bureaucrats, however, has been fixed for 4 pm instead of earlier communicated time of 11.30 am. Informed sources revealed that the office of the Sports Minister had suggested postponement of the AGM in view of lack of quorum but the Chief Minister was adamant for the meeting tomorrow only. In fact, a number of State Sports Council members were unable to reach Srinagar today in view of cancellation and delay in fights arrival. "After the Council office pursuit, a couple of members agreed to reach Srinagar by road late this evening or tomorrow morning," informed sources told. As against the speculations of Council dissolution two years before its four-year constitutional term, the highly placed sources believe that the Chief Minister wants to given the sports body a new Secretary after shifting of ADGP, Naveen Agarwal from the post in the recent past.
