Alleging Dy CM failed to provide ration in home constituency, locals protest

Kathua, July 8: Alleging Deputy Chief Minister and their elected representative to have failed to provide basic amenities to people of his constituency, the people from Billawar assembly segment staged protest here today
The protestors who had hoped that their fate would be changed and new MLA would bring 'good days' for them but they got disappointed as their elected representative Dy CM Dr Nirmal Singh allegedly never visits remotest areas of his constituency after emerging victorious.
Amid slogans against government and in particular Dy Chief Minister Dr Nirmal Singh, the residents of village Najot of Billawar today held a protest demonstration against Dy CM and Consumer Affairs & Public Distribution Department. The protesters alleged the department for not providing ration supply under different categories like BPL, APL and AAY for few months.
Natha Singh, a local said the problem of erratic food supply was raised before concerned authority and Dy CM during his visit in Billawar town but nothing has been done in this regard. "Many a time people have to come back empty hands from Billawar due to inadequate ration supply to remote areas, he added.
Kishan Singh also accused the CA&PD Department for deliberately ignoring the miseries of public who depend upon government ration supply. He said the Food Supply has been cut down for several months and people approached to Sarpanches who themselves are unable to pacify the agitating public as they also are among affected.
When contacted to Kewal Kumar AD Food Supply Kathua, instantly rejected all allegations at the same time assured to review the situation as complained by the media persons.
He said food supply will be restored soon and people will get ration under different categories.
