Avinash Azad ET Report Jammu, July 8: Despite pendency of payment of works completed months back, Principal Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) Jammu made payment against recently installed CCTVs in the hospital, without getting NOCs from concerned quarter. Well placed sources in the hospital told Early Times, despite of pendency of payments of various works executed/ completed in the hospital by the various agencies, Principal Made payment in advance even before completion of work. "Around 16 CCTVs were installed in Emergency wing of the hospital, recently to respond immediately over complaints of patients by administration" sources said, adding that the LCDs, a controlled over the functioning of hospital was also installed in office of Medical Superintendent, Administrator and in the office of incharge Emergency. "But it is still mysterious, why principal made the payment for only installation of CCTVS", sources said, it might be an attempt to impress Health and Medical Education. "The Cameras were installed after formation of new government in state, it seems, the engineer concerned, or company installed the cameras has link with minister, that's why payment, without NOC was released", sources said. "There are number of works executed, during tenure of Dr Ghanysham Dev Gupta, but he made payment against, specific work", sources said, adding government should order a probe to check work done by the company. "Including 16 CCTVs installed in the emergency, 10 cameras were also installed at other place within the premises of the GMC, including parking and most of the CCTVs, installed few months back are un-functional", source claimed, adding that since Dr Gupta assumed charge of Principal, GMCH, proposed development works in the hospitals have come to halt. "The incumbent prefers meeting only, instead of materialize the executed hospital, except realizing the staff hierarchy", they added. |
