Pending salaries: FMHW decides to observe black day on Eid, if salaries not paid | | | Early Times Report
kishtwar , July 8: Hundreds of Female Multipurpose Health Workers of District Kishtwar under the banner of Medical Employees Federation (MEF) staged daylong protest infront of Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Kishtwar in support of demand of release of two year pending salaries. They said if their pending dues are not paid with week, they observe Black day on coming Eid in front of Office of Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar. Raising slogans in support of their demands mainly release of two years pending salaries the protestors alleged the authorities are adopting callous approach towards their genuine demands. They later also submitted a memorandum to Dy.CMO Kishtwar stating that in case the long pending salaries are not paid to them within seven days, they will not celebrate the coming Eid and will observe Black Day in front of DC office Kishtwar. They also decided not to attend their duties from July 15 to register their protest. It may be recalled here that Director Family Welfare had assured agitating health workers during his recent visit to Kishtwar that all their pending salaries will be released by June 2015. |
