SKUAST-TAJ visits KVK Kathua, discuss issues | | | Early Times Report KATHUA, July 8: The office bearers of SKUAST-Teaching Association Jammu (SKUAST-TAJ) under the leadership of Dr. Vikas Sharma visited Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Kathua to discuss the problems being faced by the KVK scientists. According to press release, Dr. Amrish Vaid, Programme Coordinator, KVK- Kathua apprised the association president Dr. Vikas Sharma about the major issues related to KVK Kathua such as release of pending salaries of KVK staff, involvement of KVK scientists in various committees constituted at University / Directorate level, inclusion of KVK staff in the main seniority list of their respective subjects, watch / ward facility for KVK etc. The scientists stressed for immediate construction of boundary wall for Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Kathua in order to avoid trespassing. The president, Dr. Vikas Sharma assured the scientists that their issues will be taken on priority basis with the University authorities for immediate redressal and elaborated that association is trying its level best to solve major problems of KVK staff. Dr. Vikas further emphasized that SKUAST-TAJ has started a series of visits to all the KVKs of the varsity located at different districts in order to understand the problems being faced by KVK staff in these remote areas. |
