Autonomous status of Universities, School Board responsible for weak monitoring | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, July 18: Commenting on running the ETT course by the state B.Ed. colleges without NOCs of Universities, "Jammu Private Schools and ETT Institutes Association (Progressive)" termed it as so-called innocence of Jammu University authorities for its attempt towards safe exit of ongoing controversy and recent findings of J&K High Court during PIL proceedings in particular. It is a well exposed fact that 90% private B.Ed. colleges of state were being run by ruling and other politicians of state having all sort of influence within higher education ministry and Universities administration, the association said. After constant functioning of almost nine years related to ETT course, it is quite joking on the part of Jammu University's recent version that its affiliated B.Ed. colleges were running without NOCs to run ETT course within same premises, Association observed. It is once again funny on the JU's unbelievable statement that said B.Ed. colleges were use to remove the EET Boards at the time of its inspections, association added. The so-called autonomous institute of state i.e. J&K State Board of School Education (Bose) no doubt was serious enough for day to day improved monitoring of its EET course but unwanted interference of concerned minister and administrative office created nuisance all the times, Association alleged. Firstly bulk number of ETT NOCs were issued by the above mentioned secretariat offices without any policy or planning and secondly JK Board authorities were influenced for untimely intakes in violation of norms, it added. Even once, head of JK school Board was conditionally appointed by the minister concerned, it further added.
