Duke of Edenburgh's awards felicitates Principal of JPS with Meritorious Service award | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, July 18 : In an Award Ceremony held at India International Centre Lodhi Estate New Delhi, Principal Trilok Singh Bist of Jodhamal Public School Jammu was felicitated with the Meritorious Service Award for his contribution in the field of Education and taking the initiative of changing the lives of the young children by involving them in the International Award for Young People. Trilok Singh Bist, the Principal of Jodhamal Public School started his Association with IAYP almost 10 years back and have been able to connect hundreds of his students to the Award right from Dehradun to Lucknow to Jammu. His students have already reached great heights in their career. In 2012, Jodhamal Public School, Jammu became the first YES Centre of IAYP, the off shoot of the Duke of Edenburg's Awards. Jodhamal is the only Youth Engaging Society at the moment in the entire J&K state and the school is all set to take the community along its success journey. Jodhamal Public School is a YES Centre, so all school can connect via them to the Award and already many schools have achieved their award through Jodhamal and in our endeavour to make the Generation next a more capable one Jodhamal is all set to take this award to the adopted village this year, the Ismailpur Kothe. Trilok Singh Bist said it was a great pleasure meeting Raja Randhir Singh and receiving the award from him, the only Member from India in the International Olympic Association and the only participant from India in Olympic Games for a long period of 33 years. Raja Randhir Singh felicitated three Principals from Pan India for their Meritorious Services in the field of Education and the schools were Singapore International School, Mumbai, Sc india School , Gwalior and Jodhamal Public School ,Jammu. It is indeed a proud moment for Jammu to be recognized at National Level with the legacy schools like Sc India School, Gwalior. Student Subrat Sharma of Jodhamal was awarded a Gold Award for completing his Gold Journey successfully in the Gold Award Ceremony. Subrat had been consistently a very hard working and sincere child who has always stood up for the community service and social causes. Also Present on the occasion were the Principal D.P.S. R.K. Puram New Delhi, Principals and Directors of the leading schools of India, National Director IAYP Kapil Bhalla, Programme Manager Bivujit Mukhoti , Priyank Gupta award leaders from all schools and the 60 gold awardees from all over India. Jodhamal Staff and Students celebrated this occasion and took a resolution to add new feathers to the hat with their hard work and commitment.
