Political parties condemn attack on BSF | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Aug 5: Various Political parties of Jammu and Kashmir condemned attack by Pakistani militants on a bus carrying BSF personnel in Jammu and Kashmir's Udhampur area and expressed grief over the death of two jawans in it. Senior Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad condemned the attack and expressed grief over the death of two jawans. Eleven personnel of the border guarding force have been injured in the attack. "Ghulam Nabi Azad has strongly condemned the attack by Pakistani militants," a press release issued by his office said. Professor Bhim Singh, Supremo of National Panthers Party condemned attack on BSF jawans on National Highway, 13 KM from Udhampur District Headquarters which has remained peaceful all along. Bhim Singh said that it has remained a constituency of Panthers Party for nearly 15 years and a strong hold of the Panthers Party. Prof.Bhim Singh said that he has information that this attack was targeted against the pilgrims going to Amarnath darshan also. He accused the State government for its utter failure to keep a watch on the situation and the movements of the undesirable and armed infiltrators. Most of the militants have crossed over the international border in Jammu District and also LoC with a sole mission to destabilize India. Jammu Province People Forum (JPPF) an amalgam of more than 50 social, commercial and other organizations, a united voice of Dogras and a common platform for all Sabha, Societies and business houses to raise their voice for the development of Jammu Province convened an emergency meeting in connection with militants attack on Amarnath Yatris and Security Forces. Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee has strongly condemned the militants attack on BSF convoy on national highway in Udhampur District in which two BSF personnel have been martyred while several others have been injured. Expressing rich tributes to those who were martyred in the attack the party Chief spokesman Ravinder Sharma expressed deep shock over the loss of lives and expressed sympathy with the bereaved families and those who were injured in the attack. Meanwhile senior congress leader Manjit singh along with Congress leaders and workers today held protest demonstrations against the Central and State Governments for their failure to deal with the anti-national activities and increasing militant attacks in Jammu. Speaking before the protesters, Manjit Singh said, Modi Government has failed to deal with the Pak aggression in contrary to his claims which he made during election campaign. Regarding militant attacked, he said, frequent militant attacks have left people in border areas unsafe in view of crossing of militants on the border and militant attacks like they did in Gurdaspur and now in Udhampur. |
