Jammu, Aug 5: ABVP today lambasted Jammu and Kashmir Service Selection Board, for including descriptive paper of Urdu for the post of Naib Tehsildar. Addressing the media, Lokinder Singh said that inclusion of Urdu as a compulsory descriptive paper will impact the final selection list of Naib Tehsildar's as many of the job aspirants do not have Urdu knowledge as per SSB syllabus and that too in descriptive mode. He said that inclusion of Urdu as compulsory subject came as a shock as well as surprise for many aspirants as for the first time, Urdu as compulsory descriptive paper was inducted in this exam. He added that looking at the Urdu portion of syllabus, it seems to be a complete discrimination as during the notification of exam only basic knowledge of Urdu was required but the content of Urdu portion is beyond that. Lokinder Singh also added that Urdu is not a compulsory language in J&K like Punjabi in Punjab, then how can they enforce it. He said that this seemed to be a conscious effort to give an undue benefit to particular candidates and discriminate with others. Meanwhile, ABVP Jammu University demanded to revert the decision so that uniformity can be maintained in exam pattern otherwise these 30 marks content of Urdu portion will lag behind certain aspirants than others. Other who were present in the press conference were Sunil Kumar, Rizwan, Varun Salathia and Sachin. |
