SEECC opposes screening test of teachers 8/6/2015 12:07:08 AM Early times Report Kathua, Aug 5: JK School Education Employees Co-Ordination Committee (SEECC) held a meeting to discuss the move of the education department to conduct the screening test of ReT and General line teachers and proficiency test at the time of promotion to the post of Masters and Lecturers of all teachers who have obtained their, degrees through distance mode . The participants while speaking in the meeting said that high court has directed the department to scrutinize the degrees acquired through distance mode. Higher Education department after cabinet decision on 16-05-2012 issued government order No 252-HE of 2012 dt.30-05-2012 regarding the validity of degrees obtained through distance mode of education . Order No 252-HE-2015 states that rules notified vide SRO 339 of 2015 dt 20-12-2005 allows these studies and get degrees through distance mode from the universities approved by distance education council ,UGC and All India Council of Technical Education established by an act of parliament or the state legislative assemblies .The in service employees has the right to improve their qualifications through distance mode of education after satisfying all procedural requirements. The school education directorates have provided the permission to appear and get degrees through distance modes .The matter has also been clarified by general administrative department in circular No .17 GAD of 2012 dt.07-06-2012 in which it is stated that to avoid unnecessary litigation this condition was included "If on verification the certificates produced by the appointees are proved fake or forged the appointment shall be cancelled"   Share This News with Your Friends on Social Network     Comment on this Story
