Jammu, Aug 5: To observe the 'Breastfeeding Week' Sub District Hospital, Mendhar today organized an Exhibition in conference hall of SDH Mendhar. According to press release, the exhibition was inaugurated by Block Medical Officer, Dr PA Khan. BMO detailed the participants and the general public about the importance of breastfeeding for the baby and for the mother. He emphasized the need to start breastfeeding immediately after birth, to provide exclusive breastfeeding to the baby for first six months and to continue breastfeeding for two years which will help the baby to stay healthy throughout his/ her life. On this occasion, Pamphlets on the importance of breastfeeding were distributed among the staff and the general public for mass awareness. |
