Kishtwar Aug 5: Youth Action Committee (YAC), Bhaderwah today organised a protest against GREF authorities at historical Seri Bazaar of Bhaderwah while accusing the nodal agency General Reserve Engineering Force (GREF) and state government callous approach towards miseries of people in Bhaderwah after the closure of Doda Bhaderwah road near Sanai from the last four days.
Addressing the protesters here today, President Youth Action Committee Bhadewrah ,Naseer Mehboob Padder said, "GREF which is maintaining 30 KM Doda Bhaderwah road since last 25 years have failed to maintain it properly as it is using sub standard material in road construction projects makins people to suffer badly. "Due to failure of GREF authorities the continuous road blockade on this vital road stretch connecting the Bhaderwah with rest of the state having a population of over 40,000 souls who are left on mercy of Almighty, Naseer lamented.
He alleged that the work executed by the GREF needs to be looked into seriously, particularly with respect to the use of sub standard material in construction work by the authorities and demanded a detail probe against the agency.
YAC Vice President Manoj Kotwal warned GREF authorities to restore Doda Bhaderwah road within 24 hours or be ready to face the public wrath of Bhaderwah people.
